Blue Corn Tortillas (12 pack)
Bolder Chips makes corn tortillas from heirloom corn (non-GMO) that is grown on the Native American Ute Mountain Reservation in southwestern Colorado. The preparation begins with boiling and soaking the corn overnight with the mineral lime, a process known as nixtamalization. The dough is formed the next day and flattened before being passed through low temperature ovens and then quickly vacuum sealing and cooling for freshness. No gums or preservatives are ever used.
Cooking instructions: Rub a small amount of water on each side of the tortilla before heating on a nonstick pan, skillet or other flat surface for about 20-30 seconds per side, or until pliable and steamy. Alternatively can be fried with good quality oil until it reaches desired crispness.
